Indiana voters will see two statewide constitutional questions on the November ballot. Voters who live within the School City of Whiting will also see the local School City of Whiting Operating Referendum question.

Only registered voters residing within the School City of Whiting will see the referendum on their ballot.

EARLY VOTING
Lake County voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location in the county. All voting machines are programmed with precinct-specific ballots, so you can vote early wherever it’s most convenient.

If you live within the School City of Whiting boundaries, you are eligible to vote on the referendum question. Only registered voters residing within the School City of Whiting district will see the referendum on their ballot.

The Lake County Board of Elections and Registration is currently accepting absentee-by-mail applications.
Completed absentee-by-mail ballots must be received by election officials by the deadline. A postmark by Election Day is not sufficient.

WHAT TO EXPECT AND BRING WITH YOU
Indiana law requires residents to present a government-issued photo identification before casting a ballot at the polls on Election Day.
Your photo identification must meet all of the following four criteria to be acceptable for voting purposes:

1. Display your photo
2. Display your name, and the name must conform to your voter registration record
3. Display an expiration date and either be current or have expired sometime after the date of the last General Election; AND
4. Be issued by the State of Indiana or the U.S. government.
